STATEMENT FOR PHYSICIANS BOARD CERTIFIED WITH 

THE AMERICAN BOARD OF PHYSICIANS SPECIALISTS (ABPS)

 

 It is the understanding of the American Board of Urgent Care Medicine (ABUCM) that the American Board of Physician Specialists (ABPS) will be administering its final Urgent Care Medicine certification exam in October 2022.

 

The ABUCM has developed a pathway for those ABPS Diplomates who are interested in transitioning their Urgent Care Medicine Board Certification to the ABUCM. The ABUCM will consider convalidating the certification of BCUCM physicians who:

 

• Meet all of the eligibility requirements of ABUCM certification.
  
  
• Submit an “Intent to Transfer Certification” form.
  
  
• Pay a certification transfer fee of $750.
